Pantalica, back to the origins

With a "hive" of about 5000 honeycomb tombs cutted into the limestone, Pantalica is a naturalistic and archaeological site of the province of Siracusa that was listed in 2005 as UNESCO World Heritage site because of its high historical, archaeological and landscape profile.

It's an authentic natural fortress protected by high and inaccessible rock walls. It also represents one of the most important Sicily's proto-historic sites, useful to understand the time of passage from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age on the island.

This outdoor experience, which will allow us to know the biodiversity of the reserve, will be accompanied by an archaeological tour of the necropolis and the visit at the Ataktoron, the only living testimony of the prehistoric period of this site.
